Where do I Vote? / What Ward am I in?
The city of Manchester features a non-partisan ballot process by which the positions of mayor, aldermen, school committee members, welfare commissioner, and several ward election officials are elected biennially across twelve wards. The municipal primary elections are held on the third Tuesday of September in each odd-numbered year followed by the municipal general elections held on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November of the same year.
Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
The City Clerk is the Chief Election Officer for the city and responsible for conducting and preserving the integrity of all elections held within the municipality. Important election and voting registration information is available on the City Clerk’s Voter Registration and Elections page.
