If elected or re-elected, please describe legislation you expect to sponsor or co-sponsor.
The FY 2023 National Defense Authorization Act—AKA Pentagon Budget—850 Billion Dollars is utterly wasteful.
The people of the US deserve Universal Health Care to include Dental Care and free access to prescription drugs.
The people must insist that the US government follow the non-violent teachings of Martin Luther King.
All people have the equal right to enjoy freedom in their daily lives without prejudice.
Social Security should be funded by elimination the Wage Cap.
Retired military officers should be banned from working for or serving on the Boards of military contractors.
Former Senators and Congress people should be banned from lobbying activities on Capitol Hill.
Federal Election Days and Veterans Day should be combined into one Full-stop National Holiday.
The US needs to have an annual questionnaire on Form 1040. “How do you wish your tax dollars spent?” Choices might include: Defense Spending, Health Benefits for ALL, Public Policy to eliminate Homelessness and Hunger, etc. Congresspeople might pay attention.
The US must become Welfare-of-the-People State, not a Welfare-of-the-Wealthy State.
What is your overarching philosophy when it comes to the duties of being a member of Congress?
Honesty and Openness
What is the most significant issue facing Manchester residents at the municipal level and how can you, as a member of Congress aid the city government and/or directly aid Manchester residents on that issue?
How do you feel the current divisive political climate in the United States will impact the Congress over the next two years and how would you navigate that divisiveness in Washington?
I would find the dozen or so Senators and Representatives on Capitol Hill who are not bought and paid for to address divisiveness and deception in government.
In your conversations with voters, what is the most significant issue to them right now? How would you address that if elected or re-elected?
Global Climate Change must be addressed. For example, we are fast running out of water to combat the raging fires in the US.
We must once again cooperate with other countries: water and food are not local problems.
In your opinion, what were the five most significant pieces of legislation in Congress introduced over the last two years?
How much time does a member of Congress need to spend in Washington to do their job properly and how much time does a member of Congress need to spend in their home state to do their job properly?
Members of Congress must spend time doing the peoples’ business, rather than raising money for the 2 parties and their reelection.
