If elected or re-elected, please describe legislation you expect to sponsor or co-sponsor.
- Not allowing a sales tax to come through (esp in the name of “economic recovery” from the “pandemic”)
- Keeping our Right to carry, protecting our 2nd Amendment Rights.
- Protecting the unborn from abortion and the elderly from abuse
What are the most important concerns facing you’ve heard from Manchester residents and how can you address those concerns if elected or re-elected?
- Covid-19; Government officials need to stop mandating what they think is best for people and allow the people to decide for themselves (knowing all risks), what they think is best for their business and families. Its not the government’s job to keep me healthy, it is my own. Furthermore, the media needs to be held accountable for how they are still treating this as a pandemic, when it is not. It is only fear-mongering. Hydrochloride needs to be made readily available, and healthy options like zinc and vitamin C. It is the people’s right to choose their healthcare! No vaccine should be pushed for this as on average,
- Women’s right to choose; as I am 100% pro-life, believing that life begins at conception, I would like to see more options become more readily available to women who find themselves feeling distressed about their pregnancy. Options like adoption being made more accessible to good families; Crisis pregnancy centers being able to help give guidance and/ or provide what is needed for the individual and their unborn child; whether the need is medical care, family support, things the baby will need, child care, etc.
New Hampshire legislators are citizen legislators and being a legislator is a significant time commitment. How much time per week can you spend on legislative duties while the Senate/House is in session?
Approx. 18 hours a week (more as needed)
In your view, describe the atmosphere within the legislature over the past two years. Do you believe this atmosphere will continue and how would that affect how you approach this position if elected or re-elected?
What is the most significant issue facing Manchester at the municipal level and how can you, as a legislator aid the city government on that issue?
- We need Affordable Housing (thus the Homeless problem)
- Helping the homeless with a place to live and finding a job
- Drug epidemic ( aid places like Teen Challenge to be more available to help drug addicts and alcoholics)
With the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 in the future, do you support the legislature meeting remotely?
Meeting in session at the House would be much more effective, so no. If masks work, then those who are concerned should just wear those!
In your opinion, what were the five most significant pieces of legislation introduced in the New Hampshire General Court over the last two years? Please explain what made them significant.
- Establishing a committee to study the safety of residents and employees in long term care facilities. Given the record of abuse of the elderly…or the accusation thereof, it should be thoroughly looked into with extra safety and accountability measures set up.
- Relative to the state board of education rule in regards to making criminal history records checks. There should be extensive background checks before hiring anyone to work in any position at any school!
- HB 1475 Prohibiting abortion after the detection of fetal hearbeat… absolutely yes! Abortion should be illegal…at the very least, not funded by any government agency.
- Relative to allocating electoral college electors based on national popular vote. It is very important that we keep the electoral college!
- 1101- imposing a waiting period between the purchase and delivery of a gun…there should not be any hindrances to any law-abiding citizen in the purchase or ownership of a firearm!
